Why it Matters

Users can find moving content such as scrolling text and flashing banner adverts distracting. Moving content can also cause some users to have epileptic fits.

How To...

Try to avoid all moving content - as a bare minimum, inform users in advance of any moving content. Allow users to pause or freeze content that moves. Ensure that animations do not fall within the range of 16Hz to 25Hz as this is the most common range to cause seizures.
